Why did you start Youthwork pay's a visit ?
A lot of youthclubs have a page on internet, and most of them have also links to other youthclubs. But youthclubs are organizations that work mainly with volunteers, which makes it very hard to keep those pages up-to-date. And if they do, they mostly forget about the links, most of the links are out-dated. (When I started creating this Ring, I noticed that was even more true than I thought) That is why I wanted to created one link page to all the Internet youthclubs, so if people changed their web address, they only had to tell one person and the links for all the other youthclubs were changed.
When I thought about this, I wanted to do something more. That' s when I ( reach for my revolver) euh had the idea about web ring.
Let's make a little world of our own and link all those pages in one big ring.
I knew it had been done before, I only had to find the right tools.
Which I found on the Internet. (Where else ?)

History
After creating youth club pay's a visit on my own I, I have been contacted by jeugdwerknet. Because of the simularities of both projects we decided on 07/01/1997 to join forces, and to open it up for all youthwork, not only youthclubs. Because this cooperation we now no longer show a logo on the index page.
I changed the name to Youthwork pay's a visit, because that explains the best what we intended, let's pay a visit to other youthworkers ...
A dutch index and dutch FAQ were added.

How can you be sure the ring is not broken?
WebRing provides an utility to check if the ring is broken or not. This utility travels down the ring to check if all the pages are up and have the required "HTML". The owner of a page that gives a problem, will receive an e-mail to ask him to correct the problem. He has 72 hours to correct the problem. If no answer is received the page will be removed from the ring.
Members that notice a problem with Ring integrity are asked to send the ring maintainer a mail.

What does it cost ?
It is completely FREE

Nothing is for free, do I really have to do Nothing ?
Ok, we ask you a few things ...

1 Send us a mail every time you change your web
2 And send us the first time :
	The Name of the organisation
	E-mail address
	WWW Address
(fill out the questionnaire at the end of this page and that will be
fine too.)
3 Send us:
The telephone number (of the Youthwork)
and the last update date of the WWW page

4 Send a mail to every other organisation, that you think might be interested and is not on our
    list already.
5 Send me the url's of other Youthworks that you know are on the
web, but you do not know their e-mail address.
6 Send us a mail if you find any missing links, or pages that have removed the required HTML code
7 Because of the pay's a visit you will be asked to put some HTML
code on your homepage (the link to our index page and
the links to the next and the previous pages.) The Html should appear on the page with the URL that will be used to link you

Top | Nederlandse FAQ

Why do you need the last updated date?
On the indexpage I'm sorting the organisations by the date they are updated, so people will see the last updated web's first.
(Another reason for you to send me a mail whenever you update it, and to update your web quite often)
